US accusations against Russia of allegedly using chemical weapons in Ukraine are “odious” and unfounded, said Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov.
Earlier on Wednesday, the United States imposed sanctions against the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops (RCBZ) of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as a number of Russian institutes, companies and their leaders.
The State Department explained this by saying that Russia allegedly used the toxic substance chloropicrin in Ukraine, but the department did not provide any evidence.
The department also refuses to notice numerous facts of the use of chemical weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
