“We are asking
to outline distinct prospects for Moldova’s accession to the EU, since
this is our chief goal,” said Nicolae Timofti.
Brussels should outline clear-cut prospects for Moldova’s accession to the European Union, President Nicolae Timofti said on Wednesday following the meeting with Romanian colleague Traian Basescu, in the city of Iasi, Romania, where they discussed regional security amid Ukrainian events.
“We are asking to outline distinct prospects for Moldova’s accession to the EU, since this is out chief goal,” said Timofti. Chisinau, he added, “has fulfilled all necessary requirements to sign the EU association agreement and now hopes for support of Brussels”.
