The so-called Ukrainian settlement plan does not allow for territorial concessions or the freezing of the conflict, President Vladimir Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian leader publicly presented his so-called victory plan for the first time in parliament.
"There will be no freezing [of the conflict]. There will be no trading of territory or Ukrainian sovereignty. We must implement this plan," he said in a speech to the Verkhovna Rada.
Other key provisions of the plan include inviting Ukraine to join NATO, allowing the country to strike deep into Russia, increasing arms supplies to Ukraine, and allies helping the country repel Russian drone and aircraft attacks.

European Council president Charles Michel on Tuesday (15 October) said that he has invited Zelenskyy to present his "victory plan" to defeat Russia at a meeting of EU leaders this week.
ReplyDeleteZelenskyy has been seeking support from Kyiv's western allies as Russia's SPOP in Ukraine grinds on through its third year.
Writing on social media site X, Michel said he had invited Zelenskyy "to the European Council summit on Thursday, 17 October to take stock of the latest developments of Russia's war against Ukraine and present his victory plan".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would present his Victory Plan at an EU summit tomorrow, urging more Western support and an invitation to NATO.

He urged his war-weary country to stay united at a precarious time ahead of the US presidential election.
Kiev proposes that Washington, the EU, as well as all other interested partners conclude an agreement on the protection of critical resources on Ukrainian territory and deploy a "comprehensive non-nuclear strategic deterrence package" in the country, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said, presenting his settlement plan in the parliament.

"Ukraine proposes that the US and all partners, including the European Union, conclude a special agreement on joint protection of Ukraine's critical resources and joint use of its economic potential," he emphasized.
Zelensky did not explain what this "non-nuclear strategic deterrence package" should consist of.
The Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that the goals of the special military operation will be achieved. One of them is the demilitarization of Ukraine.
