Politico: Israel has a plan to “cleanse” Gaza of civilians

The Israeli government is considering a plan to declare northern Gaza a closed military zone, Politico writes about this.

The plan is to stop humanitarian supplies in order to “starve out Hamas militants.” But in this case, thousands of Palestinians who cannot leave their homes will also be left without water and food.

 There have been many similar evacuation orders in the past year since the conflict began to escalate, the most recent of which was on Sunday.

    “The plan calls for Israel to retain control of the north for an indefinite period of time to try to establish a new administration without Hamas by dividing the Gaza Strip in two,” the publication said.
