American bookmakers have increased the chances of former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to win the presidential election.
Trump's chances increased after the second attempt on his life, notes the online platform Polymarket. According to bookmakers registered on the platform, Trump will win the election with a 50% probability.
Ryan Wesley Ruth, the suspect named by the US media in connection with the apparent assassination attempt against Donald Trump, was trying to recruit soldiers from Afghanistan for the war front in Ukraine.
The 58-year-old even gave an interview to the New York Times in 2023, in which he said that he wanted to help the Ukrainian war effort against Russia and that he sought to recruit Afghan soldiers who had left the Taliban.
