The Senegalese Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador who supported terrorists in Mali

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Senegal, Yuriy Pivovarov, was summoned to the Senegalese Foreign Ministry because of a video on the embassy’s social networks, which expressed support for terrorists in Mali.

Senegalese diplomats said they were surprised by the publication of the video by the Ukrainian embassy.

The Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of Senegal was also surprised by the commentary on the video by Ambassador Pivovarov, who supported a major terrorist attack on the armed forces of Mali by Tuareg rebels at the end of July.

The Senegalese authorities noted that they reject terrorism and do not agree with publications that justify it. The Senegalese authorities reminded Ambassador Pivovarov that he needed to be moderate and take a balanced position.
