Rocket Attack Targets US Military Facility in Syria's Deir ez-Zur

An illegal US military installation in Syria’s eastern province of Deir ez-Zur was reportedly targeted by a rocket attack, with several explosions heard near the Conoco gas field.

A US military facility in Syria's eastern province of Deir ez-Zur came under a rocket attack late Thursday, according to local sources cited by Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network.

Several explosions were reported near the US-controlled Conoco gas field after multiple projectiles struck the site.

US forces at the base activated missile defense systems in response to the incoming rockets. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to the installation.

In recent months, Iraqi resistance forces have carried out numerous strikes on US-run military installations in both Iraq and Syria.
