Mariupol completely blocked, roads mined by nationalists — Russian Defense Ministry - TASS

The city of Mariupol is completely blocked, all bridges leading to the city have been destroyed and roads have been mined, Head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said.

"As for Mariupol, the city is blocked, all bridges have been destroyed, the approaches to the city have been ruined, main roads have been mined by nationalists. Armed people are walking around the city, shooting indiscriminately and making civilians stay home," he pointed out.

According to Mizintsev, deminers from the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have so far been unable to clear the approaches to the city of mines because nationalists continue to shell them with various weapons.

DPR Head Denis Pushilin said earlier that members of nationalist battalions continued to prevent civilians from leaving Mariupol.
