At least 33 killed in twin car bombs in Libya's Benghazi

At least 33 were killed and dozens more injured following a twin car bomb attack in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi on Tuesday night, Reuters reported, citing local officials.

The first explosion struck when an explosives-rigged vehicle blew up in front of a mosque in the city's central Al Salmani district, followed by a second car explosion 30 minutes later in the same area.

The victims include both military personnel and civilians, officials said.
