FYROM is in favor of UNO’s resolution which considers Russia’s annexation of Crimea as illegal.
With 100 votes in favor, 11 against and 58 abstentions, UNO General Assembly has approved the resolution.
In favor of this resolution have also been Balkan countries such as Croatia, Slovenia, Albania and Montenegro.
Foreign Ministry in Skopje said that this stance complies with UNO charter against the annexation and the threatening of territorial integrity of an independent state and member of the UNO.
Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina voted against the resolution. This non binding document declares the referendum held in Crimea to separate from Ukraine and join Russia as invalid.
This result is considered to isolate Russia from the international community. /ibna/
