Putin hopes West heard his warnings on attacks deep into Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed hope that the West heard his warnings on consequences of the permission to attack deep into the country.

"They have not reported anything to me, but I hope that they heard, since we will surely have to take some decisions for ourselves as well," he said when asked a respective question by VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

The Ukrainian army cannot use high-precision weapons independently, Putin noted, adding that NATO countries’ specialists only can do it.

Russia’s Defense Ministry is considering various options of response to possible attacks with long-range weapons on Russian territory, President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Technically such attacks may only be made directly by NATO countries’ military, not by Ukraine, the president stressed. "We will have to respond to it respectively. How to respond, when, where particularly is too early to say so far," he said.

"Of course, our military agency is considering it and it will offer various response options," Putin added.

  1. Vladimir Putin expressed hope that Western governments heard his warnings against striking deep into Russia.

“They did not report to me, but, I hope, they heard [my warning]," Putin said in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Ukraine cannot independently use long-range weapons; this can only be done by specialists from NATO countries, which is why the issue is not about granting permission to Kiev to use such weapons against Russia, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin.
